Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oliver Caers kicked off to start the match. When Hulshout's Arnaud Van Espen in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. KSV Varenwinkel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommas de Reyck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Hulshout's Hans Van Linthoud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robby Descamps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Oliver Caers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustave Van Den Poel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Tommas de Reyck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustave Van Den Poel was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Tommas de Reyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustave Van Den Poel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Caers in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Oliver Caers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustave Van Den Poel. Hulshout's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Caers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

KSV Varenwinkel's Robby Descamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaud Van Espen in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KSV Varenwinkel's Roel Van Der Linden got a free kick in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Hulshout's Arnaud Van Espen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robby Descamps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 68th minute of the match, Oliver Caers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustave Van Den Poel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustave Van Den Poel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Caers in the 72nd minute of play. Hans Van Linthoud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robby Descamps stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaud Van Espen's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Oliver Caers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave Van Den Poel having to interfere. Jon Ooms hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Luukas Klinkenberg shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Hulshout's Gustave Van Den Poel to catch but Luukas Klinkenberg was lucky. It became 2-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Tommas de Reyck struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Gustave Van Den Poel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Varenwinkel. Oliver Caers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Caers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KSV Varenwinkel played a much better game than Hulshout and deserved their victory. The Hulshout players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
