Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thobias Van Achtens started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Borgerhout's Thobias Van Achtens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Bram Smolders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jos de Pelsmaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertus Dams kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Havay getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Albertus Dams hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Havay's Yanis Lambert got a free kick in the 28th minute. Robben Vrijdag, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bram Smolders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Havay's Jos de Pelsmaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thobias Van Achtens in the 36th minute of play. If Bram Smolders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bram Smolders took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jos de Pelsmaker. Jos de Pelsmaker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Borgerhout's Robben Vrijdag got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Kobe Switten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Selleslags in the 44th minute of play. During the 48th minute of the match Albertus Dams completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Albertus Dams a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Albertus Dams hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 50th minute when Daan Van Hoovelt was dribbling his way through Havay's defense he got a clear chance for a shot, but the shot went just outside the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dave Sterckx made a kick off. If Bram Smolders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thobias Van Achtens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thobias Van Achtens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jos de Pelsmaker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Yanis Lambert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Havay and the Borgerhout players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Yanis Lambert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kobe Switten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Sterckx in the 71st minute. Jos de Pelsmaker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thobias Van Achtens went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bram Smolders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jos de Pelsmaker having to interfere. If Bram Smolders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Thobias Van Achtens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borgerhout's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thobias Van Achtens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 played minutes Havay got a freekick which was hit by Paul Sterckmans.
