After having played for 6 minutes, Jonas Selleslags managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Havay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Selleslags was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6thth minute of the game Dave Sterckx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Footy Smile Club's Yoachim De Bougne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dave Sterckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Selleslags in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yoachim De Bougne saved Footy Smile Club from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Havay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Havay booed when Footy Smile Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rein Van Mellart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yoachim De Bougne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Selleslags, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Jonas Selleslags shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoachim De Bougne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronny Van Beylen kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Steffen Meulemans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlie Van Hooveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Ray Franckx kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Yoachim De Bougne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Caers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Selleslags was the one to do the kick off. Steffen Meulemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jos de Pelsmaker having to interfere. Dave Sterckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Yoachim De Bougne made a huge save. If Dave Sterckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Havay's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Van Hooveldt came free, but Jos de Pelsmaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Footy Smile Club's Yoachim De Bougne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Footy Smile Club from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Van Hooveldt in the 78th minute of play forced Havay's goalkeeper Jos de Pelsmaker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Havay's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Van Hooveldt came free, but Jos de Pelsmaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
