Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominick Engelborghs in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franck Mortier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Bertrix's goal looked a bit too open when Jorden Van den Driesch came free, but Franck Mortier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dominick Engelborghs came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Xhawirs fans jumped to their feet. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominick Engelborghs made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Bertrix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Verhagen to maneuver through the defense. Marc Leenknecht recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. He walked away shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Dominick Engelborghs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 played minutes Xhawirs got a freekick which was hit by Tomm Smet. Franck Mortier made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Dominick Engelborghs sent off a good shot on target. Xhawirs's Dominick Engelborghs got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dominick Engelborghs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck Mortier having to interfere. Xhawirs played a much better game than Bertrix and deserved their victory. The Bertrix players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
