Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rajmond Huijbrechts took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bruno Rutgeerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Leo Coekelbergh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rajmond Huijbrechts in the 12th minute of play forced Lauwe's goalkeeper Leo Coekelbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Rajmond Huijbrechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Coekelbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Awesome Ville's Rajmond Huijbrechts got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lauwe's Leo Coekelbergh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rajmond Huijbrechts in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Quillian Tubbackx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignace Berchmans was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Lauwe's Joeri Van Impe got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Quillian Tubbackx fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ignace Berchmans, passed just outside the right post. Leo Coekelbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rutgeerts in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Lauwe's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Debruyn came free, but Leo Coekelbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lauwe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Awesome Ville were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quillian Tubbackx to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Romain Verhaegen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leo Coekelbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rajmond Huijbrechts in the 60th minute of the match. Lauwe's Leo Coekelbergh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Lauwe from getting a goal against them. Leo Coekelbergh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Rutgeerts in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Romain Verhaegen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ignace Berchmans. Awesome Ville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romain Verhaegen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 72 minutes into the match, Lauwe's goal looked a bit too open when Rajmond Huijbrechts came free, but Leo Coekelbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Lauwe's goalkeeper Leo Coekelbergh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Rutgeerts. Quillian Tubbackx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignace Berchmans came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Lauwe's Quillian Tubbackx. But to his dismay, Quillian Tubbackx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Awesome Ville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
