The crowd rose to their feet as Gustav Wynaerts kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Coekelbergh. That made the score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. Xhawirs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorden Van den Driesch in the 17th minute. Xhawirs's Jorden Van den Driesch was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leo Coekelbergh in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dominick Engelborghs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Leo Coekelbergh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominick Engelborghs in the 25th minute of play forced Lauwe's goalkeeper Leo Coekelbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Coekelbergh made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Dominick Engelborghs sent off a good shot on target. Jose Cooreman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roben De Scheper, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Leo Coekelbergh was a little too slow when Dominick Engelborghs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 4-0. Dominick Engelborghs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Leo Coekelbergh made a huge save. Roben De Scheper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jose Cooreman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dominick Engelborghs to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominick Engelborghs in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Coekelbergh saved Lauwe from getting behind. Martial Cuejvers was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the game, one of Lauwe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Lauwe getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joeri Van Impe hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes, Xhawirs's Jorden Van den Driesch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leo Coekelbergh came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xhawirs reached it. Leo Coekelbergh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominick Engelborghs's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Lauwe's Leo Coekelbergh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Leenknecht in the 64th minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Dominick Engelborghs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lauwe's Leo Coekelbergh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lauwe's goalkeeper Leo Coekelbergh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominick Engelborghs in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Coekelbergh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Coekelbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Wynaerts in the 75th minute of the match. Leo Coekelbergh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominick Engelborghs's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Marc Leenknecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Coekelbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Coekelbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Wynaerts in the 85th minute of the match. Xhawirs's Dominick Engelborghs managed to work through Lauwe's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dominick Engelborghs dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joeri Van Impe during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lauwe getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Joeri Van Impe hit a great ball. Leo Coekelbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominick Engelborghs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xhawirs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
