After 4 minutes, Bram Van Gorpt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Duck United and the VC Erquennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Bram Van Gorpt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvain Kersselaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Struijf in the 6th minute of the match. After 9 minutes, Kristof Stuckens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC Erquennes and the FC Duck United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Duck United booed when VC Erquennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristof Stuckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Regis Reijers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute of the match Thobias Clijsters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommi Cuveliers skillfully saved the ball. FC Duck United's Tommi Cuveliers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristof Stuckens in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match, Perry Kindt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommi Cuveliers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 29 minutes, Ramon Struijf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Duck United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Struijf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perry Kindt in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommi Cuveliers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Perry Kindt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, VC Erquennes's goal looked a bit too open when Niel Van Steen came free, but Silvain Kersselaers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, FC Duck United's goalkeeper Tommi Cuveliers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristof Stuckens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristof Stuckens in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Duck United's goalkeeper Tommi Cuveliers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bram Van Gorpt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Struijf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Niel Van Steen came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC Duck United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niel Van Steen couldn't finish the play. Niel Van Steen spun around in front of the goal 57 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of VC Erquennes's goal. When Loui Lenaerts fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC Erquennes's protests and gave Loui Lenaerts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute of the match Mathieux Himschoot shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvain Kersselaers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristof Stuckens in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Duck United's goalkeeper Tommi Cuveliers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Kristof Stuckens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Niel Van Steen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Struijf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Silvain Kersselaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, FC Duck United's goal looked a bit too open when Kristof Stuckens came free, but Tommi Cuveliers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Duck United's Bram Van Gorpt got a free kick in the 95th minute. Tommi Cuveliers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perry Kindt's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VC Erquennes fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Duck United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
