In the 23rd minute, Emanuel Van Hinnendaels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Jersey's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Viktor Van Laeck in the 26th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Club Terheidehoek's goalie and right to Hans Meulders. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Club Terheidehoek's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 29 minutes into the match, Greg Lijsens notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Jersey's Raymond Maeijnarts. Raymond Maeijnarts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raymond Maeijnarts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Lijsens, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Hans Meulders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Greg Lijsens came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Club Terheidehoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg Lijsens couldn't finish the play. Greg Lijsens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymond Maeijnarts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Antoine Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greg Lijsens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Raymond Maeijnarts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mickael De Witte charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mickael De Witte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Jersey booed when Club Terheidehoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael De Witte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaus Dedecker to strike the kick off in the second half. The Jersey's Rob Smoors got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Terheidehoek's zone, Klaus Dedecker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeffery Swiggers came out of the goal and Klaus Dedecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaus Dedecker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeffery Swiggers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Dedecker in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, The Jersey's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antoine Stoffels fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Raymond Maeijnarts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Greg Lijsens's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Jersey's zone, Antoine Stoffels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Maeijnarts came out of the goal and Antoine Stoffels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greg Lijsens struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Raymond Maeijnarts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Terheidehoek. If Greg Lijsens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antoine Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 82nd minute of the match Mickael De Witte completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mickael De Witte a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 82 played minutes Club Terheidehoek got a freekick which was hit by Mickael De Witte. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Stoffels in the 84th minute of play forced The Jersey's goalkeeper Raymond Maeijnarts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greg Lijsens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Raymond Maeijnarts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Klaus Dedecker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeffery Swiggers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Club Terheidehoek's Emanuel Van Hinnendaels got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Antoine Stoffels's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Raymond Maeijnarts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
