An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Huijbrechs in the 5th minute of play forced Mostly Harmless AFC's goalkeeper Bill Van Landschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bill Van Landschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmond Gielens, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Bastian Van Malcot struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Vince Van Leemputt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mostly Harmless AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Goetegem's zone, Yoeri Van de Velde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vince Van Leemputt came out of the goal and Yoeri Van de Velde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Ricky Engelborghs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Yoeri Van de Velde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoeri Van de Velde in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vince Van Leemputt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
