Roger de Pelsmacker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octaaf Verstraeten in the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Club Zeldonkhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenz Bruyninckx to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Club Zeldonkhoek's Lorenz Bruyninckx got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Jef Neef came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Givry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jef Neef couldn't finish the play. Jef Neef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roger de Pelsmacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Octaaf Verstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Givry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octaaf Verstraeten couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Freek Iven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Zeldonkhoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Freek Iven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaaf Hollants breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Club Zeldonkhoek's goal looked a bit too open when Octaaf Verstraeten came free, but Roger de Pelsmacker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Engelberchs charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Engelberchs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Club Zeldonkhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Engelberchs to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes Club Zeldonkhoek's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stanny De Messemaekere who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Club Zeldonkhoek's goalie and right to Steve Lambrechs. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Club Zeldonkhoek's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of SC Givry booed when Club Zeldonkhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenz Bruyninckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Givry's Stanny De Messemaekere couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Zeldonkhoek. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Octaaf Verstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Givry's supporters rose to their feet, but Octaaf Verstraeten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger de Pelsmacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freek Iven to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Octaaf Verstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Pelsmacker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Givry's Johan Vinckx got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Armand Van Engelen fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Zeldonkhoek's protests and gave Armand Van Engelen a yellow card for diving instead. Club Zeldonkhoek's Roger de Pelsmacker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jef Neef in the 66th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Octaaf Verstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Engelberchs in the 75th minute of play forced SC Givry's goalkeeper Gustaaf Hollants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Freek Iven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Zeldonkhoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Freek Iven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaaf Hollants showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freek Iven in the 79th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Octaaf Verstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Octaaf Verstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Benjamin Versluys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Givry and the Club Zeldonkhoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamin Versluys hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Gabriel De Swert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Zeldonkhoek had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
