SC Givry's goalie Gustaaf Hollants was quick on his feet when Rob Smoors aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. With splendid footwork Rob Smoors arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 37th minute. If Klaus Dedecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jef Neef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klaus Dedecker to make the kick off. Jef Neef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Maeijnarts having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, The Jersey's Rob Smoors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaaf Hollants narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Jerome Roels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Jersey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Givry the free kick. After 95 played minutes, SC Givry's Stanny De Messemaekere shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raymond Maeijnarts came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Givry reached it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Jersey fully deserved thier win.
