After a rather tough play, De pingpongers's Franck Van Cleijnenbreugel got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes F.C. Kaiser got a freekick which was hit by Niki Scheerens. In the 15th minute Bavo Walder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Clijsters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Alex Preuveneer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Kaiser's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De pingpongers the free kick. After a rather tough play, F.C. Tomas Clijsters had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Max Van Emelen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Daevy Inglebert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Kaiser's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daevy Inglebert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niki Scheerens took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tibau Van Beneden. Tibau Van Beneden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niki Scheerens was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Daevy Inglebert notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of De pingpongers's Tibau Van Beneden. Tibau Van Beneden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 57 minutes into the game, Gillis Van Camp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Kaiser's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De pingpongers the free kick. Gillis Van Camp hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the De pingpongers defense, Daevy Inglebert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tibau Van Beneden. The De pingpongers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tibau Van Beneden should have stopped the shot. Tibau Van Beneden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niki Scheerens, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tomas Clijsters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bavo Walder in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daevy Inglebert in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tibau Van Beneden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 80 played minutes F.C. Kaiser got a freekick which was hit by Birger Omblets. Tomas Clijsters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bavo Walder, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Alex Preuveneer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Wesly Van den Panhuizen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De pingpongers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesly Van den Panhuizen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to F.C. Kaiser getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Joery Gebuers hit a great ball.
