Thomas Geraerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Guilian Poelmans came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the VC Noordhoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilian Poelmans couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dominik Schamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Dottignies's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominik Schamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philippe Van Landewijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, KSV Dottignies's Giovanni Valkeneers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philippe Van Landewijck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mike Van De Wijngaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mike Van De Wijngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, KSV Dottignies's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Van De Wijngaert came free, but Thomas Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Geraerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Van De Wijngaert in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilian Poelmans in the 32nd minute of play forced KSV Dottignies's goalkeeper Thomas Geraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes KSV Dottignies got a freekick which was hit by Jos Verheije. The long shot by Fransesco Schollens in the 41st minute really tested Philippe Van Landewijck's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Philippe Van Landewijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Schamp in the 44th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Dominik Schamp put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Philippe Van Landewijck. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominik Schamp made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Mike Van De Wijngaert rounded KSV Dottignies's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Schamp in the 61st minute of play forced VC Noordhoek's goalkeeper Philippe Van Landewijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Dominik Schamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philippe Van Landewijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilian Poelmans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Thomas Geraerts made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Guilian Poelmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Geraerts. KSV Dottignies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilian Poelmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Mike Van De Wijngaert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Geraerts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Van De Wijngaert in the 74th minute of play forced KSV Dottignies's goalkeeper Thomas Geraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Geraerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilian Poelmans in the 77th minute. Giovanni Valkeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Philippe Van Landewijck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Giovanni Valkeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giovanni Valkeneers hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. A collision led to KSV Dottignies getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jos Verheije hit a great ball. 99 minutes into the match, VC Noordhoek's Wes Dekkers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The VC Noordhoek supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VC Noordhoek would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
