Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jannis De Wever took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lucas Bernardts took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philipp Matthieu. Philipp Matthieu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Philipp Matthieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Bernardts in the 7th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Willem-Alexander Stuckens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannis De Wever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipp Matthieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Rosbach in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Petegem getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Patrik deconinck hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes VV Deurne got a freekick which was hit by Etienne Smoors. When Petegem's Alex Rosbach in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VV Deurne's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Rosbach struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Philipp Matthieu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petegem. Philipp Matthieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Rosbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannis De Wever in the 36th minute of play forced Petegem's goalkeeper Julien Gebuers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patrik deconinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Bernardts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp Matthieu having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Rosbach was the one to do the kick off. Alex Rosbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipp Matthieu came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Petegem's Lucas Bernardts. But to his dismay, Lucas Bernardts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Lucas Bernardts in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philipp Matthieu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lucas Bernardts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Philipp Matthieu made a huge save. Charles Van Hove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julien Gebuers having to interfere. Lucas Bernardts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Philipp Matthieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, VV Deurne's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rosbach came free, but Philipp Matthieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matijs Van Clijnebreugel lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jannis De Wever managed to get in a good position for a shot. VV Deurne's supporters rose to their feet, but Jannis De Wever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julien Gebuers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Lucas Bernardts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Petegem's Steve Maes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute of the match Karl Van Beets sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julien Gebuers skillfully saved the ball. After 94 minutes of play, VV Deurne's Jannis De Wever made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julien Gebuers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julien Gebuers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannis De Wever in the 102nd minute of play. Petegem's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
