Petegem's Alex Rosbach managed to work through SK Sijsele's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mats Cools came out of the goal and Alex Rosbach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Alex Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Cools saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Petegem's Mats Cools threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alex Rosbach, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Raf Van Vyve fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petegem's protests and gave Raf Van Vyve a yellow card for diving instead. Xavier den Ronden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mats Cools showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Bernardts in the 97th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Petegem had played much better football throughout.
