Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) bozkirspor's Ruud Ingelborghs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Jannic Geerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Van den Hoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giles Koninkx's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Franky De Wortelaers lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ray Marrant. Fernand Ruelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray Marrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franky De Wortelaers in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Ruud Ingelborghs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. bozkirspor's Ruud Ingelborghs got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fernand Ruelens came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the KAA Oudenaarde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernand Ruelens couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giles Koninkx in the 29th minute of play forced bozkirspor's goalkeeper Tommy Van den Hoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axell Maenhout kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Giles Koninkx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernand Ruelens took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Van den Hoff. Tommy Van den Hoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Fernand Ruelens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Oudenaarde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernand Ruelens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernand Ruelens was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Fredrik Liebrechts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. bozkirspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Oudenaarde the free kick. After a rather tough play, bozkirspor's Fredrik Liebrechts got a free kick in the 51st minute. bozkirspor's Tommy Van den Hoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand Ruelens in the 56th minute of play. Tommy Van den Hoff stood somewhat misplaced when Giles Koninkx came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 57 minute. Ray Marrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Ingelborghs, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 66 played minutes KAA Oudenaarde got a freekick which was hit by Birger Roeckeloes. Fernand Ruelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 76 in the game by Giles Koninkx from a close distance when the talented Tommy Van den Hoff managed to make a qualified save. bozkirspor's players were relieved. 77 minutes into the match, bozkirspor's goalkeeper Tommy Van den Hoff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giles Koninkx. In the 82nd minute, Ferdinand Andries hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Franky De Wortelaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernand Ruelens was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. KAA Oudenaarde's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Franky De Wortelaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ray Marrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. bozkirspor's Tommy Van den Hoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand Ruelens in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KAA Oudenaarde had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
