Alex Rosbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp Matthieu having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, Lucas Bernardts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philipp Matthieu. VV Deurne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Bernardts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jannis De Wever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, VV Deurne's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rosbach came free, but Philipp Matthieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Rosbach in the 26th minute of play forced VV Deurne's goalkeeper Philipp Matthieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philipp Matthieu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Bernardts in the 29th minute. Alex Rosbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alex Rosbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Philipp Matthieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Rosbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Van Beets during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Rosbach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Alex Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Matthieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philipp Matthieu came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Petegem's Lucas Bernardts. But to his dismay, Lucas Bernardts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Alex Rosbach came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Petegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Rosbach couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Petegem got a freekick which was hit by Steve Maes. Alex Rosbach hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Lucas Bernardts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Rosbach in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philipp Matthieu saved VV Deurne from getting behind. Lucas Bernardts kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, VV Deurne's Charles Van Hove nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julien Gebuers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 85th match minute, VV Deurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Eggers to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Lucas Bernardts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philipp Matthieu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Rosbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Bernardts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes VV Deurne got a freekick which was hit by Willem-Alexander Stuckens. Philipp Matthieu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Rosbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Petegem had played much better football throughout.
