Harrie Adriaensens started the match with the kick off. Edmond Libesoons made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ive Loozen sent off a good shot on target. Sven Boede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Engelbeek's Rolf Heers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harrie Adriaensens in the 13th minute of play. Sven Boede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven Boede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harrie Adriaensens in the 18th minute of play forced Engelbeek's goalkeeper Rolf Heers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sven Boede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 23 minutes, Marco Delcomte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engelbeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Delcomte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, KAA Bellegem's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Delcomte came free, but Edmond Libesoons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Andy Van der Willeghem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KAA Bellegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engelbeek the free kick. After a rather tough play, KAA Bellegem's Andy Van der Willeghem got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Engelbeek's Waud Bossuyt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31st minute, Ive Loozen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edmond Libesoons, passed just outside the right post. Sven Boede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Delcomte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sven Boede came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the KAA Bellegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Boede couldn't finish the play. Engelbeek's Rolf Heers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harrie Adriaensens in the 41st minute of play. If Sven Boede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Boede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rolf Heers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Delcomte made a kick off. Ive Loozen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, KAA Bellegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges-Philippe Quintens to maneuver through the defense. Bernd Van Riel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rolf Heers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrie Adriaensens in the 60th minute of the match. Adolf Van der Vloedt's late challenge caught a KAA Bellegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolf Van der Vloedt helped the player get up and apologised. The corner ended in Luckas Valckeners almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Engelbeek's Rolf Heers did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven Boede got free with Rolf Heers in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joris Vanden Berghe during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Engelbeek getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joris Vanden Berghe hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Georges-Philippe Quintens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Marco Delcomte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Libesoons was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Engelbeek's goalkeeper Rolf Heers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Boede. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Engelbeek's goalkeeper Rolf Heers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Marco Delcomte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engelbeek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Sven Boede came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the KAA Bellegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Boede couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute of the match, Harrie Adriaensens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolf Heers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Engelbeek getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Marco Delcomte hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Sven Boede managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Bellegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Boede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Heers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the KAA Bellegem players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Engelbeek.
