Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Bavo Valckenaerts started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bavo Valckenaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ben Van Der Talen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Vorster got free with Ben Van Der Talen in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ben Van Der Talen was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Gerard Vorster capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerard Vorster really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 11th minute of the match Dreas Van der Veeken sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Louis Oelaerts skillfully saved the ball. If Fernand Van Hoeyvelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dany Abrams during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Battleader was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dany Abrams to maneuver through the defense. If Fernand Van Hoeyvelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Louis Oelaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Van Hallebeeck in the 20th minute of play. If Fernand Van Hoeyvelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Oelaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Van Hallebeeck in the 25th minute of play. Battleader's Augustijn Panhuyse shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ben Van Der Talen but with some difficulty. Kappa Shift 77's Ben Van Der Talen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bavo Valckenaerts in the 30th minute of play. When Bavo Valckenaerts came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Battleader fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bavo Valckenaerts couldn't finish the play. Gerard Vorster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Louis Van Hallebeeck made the kick off in the second half. Ben Van Der Talen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Vorster in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Battleader's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Van Hallebeeck came free, but Louis Oelaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Van Der Talen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Vorster in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Battleader's goalkeeper Louis Oelaerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernand Van Hoeyvelt. Levi Vanden Bossche hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Battleader's zone, Louis Van Hallebeeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louis Oelaerts came out of the goal and Louis Van Hallebeeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Fernand Van Hoeyvelt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kappa Shift 77's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernand Van Hoeyvelt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Louis Van Hallebeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robrecht Persoens kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Fernand Van Hoeyvelt took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Louis Oelaerts to make any attempt to save it. Fernand Van Hoeyvelt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Louis Oelaerts came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernand Van Hoeyvelt slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 83rd minute.
