Geert Vits came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcus Wellens could save by the left post. Marcus Wellens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunther Dobbelaere in the 18th minute of play. Geert Vits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geert Vits got free with Marcus Wellens in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Geert Vits got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gunther Dobbelaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. The Beuckieboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Wellens should have stopped the shot. Frank Van Beneden charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Van Beneden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, RSC Verrewinkel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Van Beneden to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that RSC Verrewinkel were the better team. RSC Verrewinkel's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
