An unexpectedly hard shot by Joery De Vadder in the 11th minute of play forced RSC Verrewinkel's goalkeeper Wayne Huijbrechs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunther Dobbelaere couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Adam Seveneijns was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 332 Outrijve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSC Verrewinkel the free kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben La Rose prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 59 minutes, Gunther Dobbelaere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Verrewinkel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunther Dobbelaere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, 332 Outrijve's Ruben La Rose got control of the ball when Geert Vits tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Geoffry Vandendriessche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Remco Van Meenen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunther Dobbelaere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben La Rose having to interfere. Ruben La Rose made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Geert Vits sent off a good shot on target. RSC Verrewinkel played a much better game than 332 Outrijve and deserved their victory. The 332 Outrijve players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
