Spectators: 5400 (Terracing: 4300, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amaury Rijmenams started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Team Vellie's goal looked a bit too open when Amaury Rijmenams came free, but Thobias De Vorster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Amaury Rijmenams managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terheide's supporters rose to their feet, but Amaury Rijmenams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thobias De Vorster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Terheide's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gregoire Rauvoets fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Roderik Smolders hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Antoine Godefroid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Weygaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Weygaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Antoine Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes, Terheide's Richy Gijselinkx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thobias De Vorster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Terheide reached it. Thobias De Vorster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amaury Rijmenams, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Team Vellie's Bob Weygaers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antoine Godefroid narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Terheide's Antoine Godefroid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Weygaers in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Terheide's goalkeeper Antoine Godefroid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregoire Rauvoets. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bob Weygaers to make the kick off. Antoine Godefroid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Weygaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Decloedt charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Decloedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Jacq Leenpoels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregoire Rauvoets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Godefroid having to interfere. Andre Lanckneus's late challenge caught a Team Vellie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre Lanckneus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Terheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Lanckneus to maneuver through the defense. Gregoire Rauvoets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Team Vellie got a freekick which was hit by Richmond Leempoels. Team Vellie's Thobias De Vorster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Team Vellie from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregoire Rauvoets in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antoine Godefroid prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Terheide eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
