Ramon Conincx's late challenge caught a Spartak Bornova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spartak Bornova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davy Stoffels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascal Degryse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Pierre-Olivier Portmans made a huge save. A collision led to Koningshooikt getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Casper Coryn hit a great ball. Pierre-Olivier Portmans was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabrice Volens. 89 minutes in the game, Kenny De Mesemacre dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Laurenz Roockeloes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute.
