The supporters of Terheide booed when FC Baraque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Postens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antoine Godefroid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ewout Baboeuf in the 15th minute of play. Amaury Rijmenams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Claes having to interfere. Gunther Claes made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jacq Leenpoels sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Amaury Rijmenams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunther Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match, Amaury Rijmenams tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gunther Claes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 25 minutes, Giles Ceustermans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Baraque and the Terheide players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FC Baraque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giles Ceustermans to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jacq Leenpoels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terheide's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacq Leenpoels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunther Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Terheide's Gunther Claes threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Amaury Rijmenams, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ewout Baboeuf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jacq Leenpoels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Billy Steenbecks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Baraque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billy Steenbecks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Terheide's Jacq Leenpoels in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gunther Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amaury Rijmenams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes of play FC Baraque's Anthony Postens was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Baraque! Richy Gijselinkx shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Andre Lanckneus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Billy Steenbecks fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Amaury Rijmenams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Claes having to interfere. Gunther Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacq Leenpoels, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Terheide walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
