Alfons Kerkhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kenney Heijligem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenney Heijligem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfons Kerkhove went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ken Figaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurus Koppens having to interfere. Ken Figaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurus Koppens having to make a save. 28 minutes into the game, Ken Figaro lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Maurus Koppens. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavian Styles in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurus Koppens saved RS oostnieuwkerke from getting behind. When Pieterjan Vleminx fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RS oostnieuwkerke's protests and gave Pieterjan Vleminx a yellow card for diving instead. Pieterjan Vleminx kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ken Figaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Maurus Koppens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, RS oostnieuwkerke's goalkeeper Maurus Koppens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richey Van der Veeken. In the 38th minute Ken Figaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurus Koppens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Richey Van der Veeken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind RS oostnieuwkerke's goalkeeper Maurus Koppens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ken Figaro to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbrecht Van Craen got free with Kenney Heijligem in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brye's Richey Van der Veeken got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 57th minute of the match Pieterjan Vleminx completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pieterjan Vleminx a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 58th minute, Pieterjan Vleminx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Richey Van der Veeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Brye booed when RS oostnieuwkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karel-Jan Van Langhendoncx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ken Figaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Figaro in the 74th minute of play forced RS oostnieuwkerke's goalkeeper Maurus Koppens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfons Kerkhove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karel-Jan Van Langhendoncx during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to RS oostnieuwkerke getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Karel-Jan Van Langhendoncx hit a great ball. Maurus Koppens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Figaro in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
