Yannik Marrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge Hollanders in the 10th minute of play. Yannik Marrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Sas in the 12th minute of the match. Walderdonk's Phillipe Van Deijck got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serge Hollanders took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yannik Marrant. Yannik Marrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robbe Helssens was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of FC Tienen booed when Walderdonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serge Hollanders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yannik Marrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Sas in the 30th minute of the match. Kris Sas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenney Neirynck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Slaghmeulders having to interfere. Kris Sas might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yannik Marrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kris Sas ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, FC Tienen's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Sas came free, but Yannik Marrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, FC Tienen's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Hollanders came free, but Yannik Marrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Walderdonk's Kris Sas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yannik Marrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robbe Helssens made a kick off. In the 55th minute Serge Hollanders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannik Marrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Serge Hollanders dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yannik Marrant, 0-3. Kris Sas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yannik Marrant having to interfere. Kris Sas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Yannik Marrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rudi Vermeiren fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Tienen's protests and gave Rudi Vermeiren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, one of FC Tienen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Tienen. Joos Dobbeleir shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Kris Sas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Yannik Marrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenney Neirynck in the 96th minute of play forced Walderdonk's goalkeeper Adam Slaghmeulders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walderdonk's Kris Sas got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walderdonk's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
