After a defensive mix-up in FC Schaatsertje's zone, Dimitri Borginions stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Van Hespen came out of the goal and Dimitri Borginions tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Schaatsertje's Samuel De Wortelaers got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Lex De Backer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KSV Vaucelles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Schaatsertje the free kick. When FC Schaatsertje's Samuel De Wortelaers in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of KSV Vaucelles booed when FC Schaatsertje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarne Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Lex De Backer in the 24th minute really tested Tommy Van Hespen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Mathieu-Maxim Denturck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Dimitri Borginions managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KSV Vaucelles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimitri Borginions was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KSV Vaucelles's Dimitri Borginions got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the KSV Vaucelles defense, Samuel De Wortelaers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernand de Reyck. The KSV Vaucelles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernand de Reyck should have stopped the shot. Teo Meys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fernand de Reyck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 57 played minutes KSV Vaucelles got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Lombaert. With a little luck, KSV Vaucelles's Fernand de Reyck got control of the ball when Teo Meys tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute, Dimitri Borginions got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Samuel De Wortelaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernand de Reyck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KSV Vaucelles's Fernand de Reyck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel De Wortelaers in the 79th minute of play. If Dimitri Borginions had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Dimitri Borginions got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dirk Lombaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Schaatsertje getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Louis Vissenaekers hit a great ball. Dimitri Borginions received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tommy Van Hespen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KSV Vaucelles's Dirk Lombaert got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Samuel De Wortelaers fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Despite being the better team, KSV Vaucelles failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
