Harrie Imbreghts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harrie Imbreghts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Klopterop having to interfere. Quentin Klopterop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cederique Van de Goor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frits Wirinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Harrie Imbreghts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quentin Klopterop. Club MichÆl's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harrie Imbreghts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Frits Wirinckx came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Club MichÆl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frits Wirinckx couldn't finish the play. After having played for 21 minutes, Frits Wirinckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club MichÆl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frits Wirinckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Adolf De Swert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glen Vissenaekens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frits Wirinckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Glen Vissenaekens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Verrebeke's Glen Vissenaekens got control of the ball when Frits Wirinckx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Glen Vissenaekens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frits Wirinckx in the 36th minute. Verrebeke's Glen Vissenaekens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waut De Boel in the 38th minute of play. Adolf De Swert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glen Vissenaekens having to make a save. 47 minutes into the match, Club MichÆl's goal looked a bit too open when Cederique Van de Goor came free, but Quentin Klopterop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Roderik Mathijs kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The long shot by Michael Leers in the 53rd minute really tested Quentin Klopterop's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Harrie Imbreghts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Verrebeke defense, Roderik Mathijs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glen Vissenaekens. The Verrebeke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glen Vissenaekens should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club MichÆl's goalkeeper Quentin Klopterop, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 66 minutes, Frits Wirinckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club MichÆl and the Verrebeke players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club MichÆl's Frits Wirinckx got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Adolf De Swert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Cederique Van de Goor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Waut De Boel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glen Vissenaekens having to interfere. Glen Vissenaekens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolf De Swert, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Club MichÆl's Loid Smolders got a free kick in the 88th minute. Frits Wirinckx got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Verrebeke getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Harrie Imbreghts hit a great ball. The supporters of Club MichÆl booed when Verrebeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Loos didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Club MichÆl were the better team. Club MichÆl's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
