The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Gijselinx got free with Tommy Van Hespen in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Schaatsertje's Tommy Van Hespen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FC Schaatsertje from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Luk Van de Poel managed to get in a good position for a shot. RSC Adegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Luk Van de Poel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Van Hespen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 15 minutes, Axel van haeve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Adegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel van haeve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When RSC Adegem's Luk Van de Poel in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The score was now 1-0. 31 minutes into the game, Axel van haeve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Adegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Schaatsertje the free kick. Axel van haeve kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel De Wortelaers to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, FC Schaatsertje's Louis Vissenaekers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolf Van Haerschot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Adegem's zone, Samuel De Wortelaers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolf Van Haerschot came out of the goal and Samuel De Wortelaers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teo Meys struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Adolf Van Haerschot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Schaatsertje. After 59 played minutes RSC Adegem got a freekick which was hit by Remie Van Adorp. Samuel De Wortelaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolf Van Haerschot came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Schaatsertje's Teo Meys. But to his dismay, Teo Meys quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Luk Van de Poel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Van Hespen was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Luk Van de Poel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Van Hespen having to interfere. In the 81st minute Samuel De Wortelaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolf Van Haerschot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Gijselinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Schaatsertje players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RSC Adegem.
