Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harrie Imbreghts to strike the kick off in the second half. If Karl Allaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th play minute Karl Allaert came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Glen Vissenaekens. 1-3. When Roy Loos fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verrebeke's protests and gave Roy Loos a yellow card for diving instead. Glen Vissenaekens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibaut De Cock, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Billie Braeckman's late challenge caught a Verrebeke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cederic Kerkhofs, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Harrie Imbreghts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verrebeke's supporters rose to their feet, but Harrie Imbreghts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Van Craen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roy Loos got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of AFC Hoeilaart booed when Verrebeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Loos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glen Vissenaekens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibaut De Cock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AFC Hoeilaart supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC Hoeilaart would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
