An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibaut De Cock in the 14th minute of play forced RSC Adegem's goalkeeper Adolf Van Haerschot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Van Craen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luk Van de Poel, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Remie Van Adorp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 50th minute Luk Van de Poel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Van Craen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tibaut De Cock made the kick off in the second half. Axel van haeve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, AFC Hoeilaart's goalkeeper Benjamin Van Craen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Gijselinx. Benjamin Van Craen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lode De Keijsere. The AFC Hoeilaart fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RSC Adegem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
