FC Schaatsertje's Teo Meys got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teo Meys got free with Benjamin Van Craen in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AFC Hoeilaart getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Billie Braeckman hit a great ball. FC Schaatsertje's Samuel De Wortelaers got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Karl Allaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tommy Van Hespen made a huge save. Samuel Horemans charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Horemans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Schaatsertje fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for AFC Hoeilaart. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Schaatsertje fans cheered their team off the field, for while AFC Hoeilaart had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
