In the 2nd minute, Peter Kloots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Tellin booed when Hallaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Vereeken didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lenny Verdonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13thth minute of the game Fredrik Van Leempten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tellin's Sergio Huyghebaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Wim Delamenin fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tellin's protests and gave Wim Delamenin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Tellin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Delamenin to maneuver through the defense. Sebastien Van Deinze struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Sergio Huyghebaert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hallaar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sebastien Van Deinze sped through Tellin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergio Huyghebaert. Sebastien Van Deinze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Michael Alaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tellin's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Alaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarne Van Leemput breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenny Verdonk in the 36th minute of play forced Hallaar's goalkeeper Jarne Van Leemput to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hallaar's Hannes Van Cruchten got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 40 played minutes Hallaar got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Van Cruchten. 42 minutes into the game, Lenny Verdonk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jarne Van Leemput was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lenny Verdonk made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Hallaar's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Alaerts came free, but Jarne Van Leemput reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Tellin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudi Cantillon to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hallaar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Jarne Van Leemput had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Rudi Cantillon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Lenny Verdonk sped through Hallaar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarne Van Leemput. After a defensive mix-up in Tellin's zone, Fredrik Van Leempten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Huyghebaert came out of the goal and Fredrik Van Leempten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Tellin got a freekick which was hit by Jorden Keldermans. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Lenny Verdonk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tellin's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Verdonk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarne Van Leemput breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastien Van Deinze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sergio Huyghebaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Sebastien Van Deinze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Huyghebaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarne Van Leemput made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Alaerts in the 87th minute of play. Tellin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hallaar for a fine match.
