The Tellin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 12thth minute of the game Lenny Verdonk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RACING BRUSSELS's Steve Pelleman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Leo Van Landschoot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RACING BRUSSELS's Steve Pelleman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenny Verdonk in the 17th minute of play. RACING BRUSSELS's Steve Pelleman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save RACING BRUSSELS from getting a goal against them. When Wim Delamenin fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tellin's protests and gave Wim Delamenin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RACING BRUSSELS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Wouter Valkenaers hit a great ball. RACING BRUSSELS's Steve Pelleman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenny Verdonk in the 43rd minute of play. Elias Decoster charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Decoster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elias Decoster hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerry Gyselinckx made a kick off. Tellin's Lenny Verdonk got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Elias Decoster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 59 played minutes RACING BRUSSELS got a freekick which was hit by Christiaan De Roost. 60 minutes into the match, Tellin's Rudi Cantillon broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 63 played minutes RACING BRUSSELS got a freekick which was hit by Wouter Valkenaers. Steve Pelleman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Alaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Michael Alaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Steve Pelleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jerry Gyselinckx came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the RACING BRUSSELS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Gyselinckx couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Jerry Gyselinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Huyghebaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Camiel Vuerinx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RACING BRUSSELS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tellin the free kick. After 90 played minutes RACING BRUSSELS got a freekick which was hit by Leo Van Landschoot. The supporters of Tellin booed when RACING BRUSSELS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Gyselinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Sergio Huyghebaert made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
