Harald Van Lancker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Vrancx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harald Van Lancker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Olivier De Ceijser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenn Martens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes, Vince Van Eyken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kamping and the Blue Army players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Kamping getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Vince Van Eyken hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Olivier De Ceijser dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kenn Martens, 1-0. Blue Army's Harald Van Lancker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel in the 20th minute of play. Leopold Dillemans charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopold Dillemans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Blue Army getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leopold Dillemans hit a great ball. FC Kamping were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Blue Army's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xavier Jaddon took the corner. Blue Army's Harald Van Lancker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Vrancx in the 28th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel made a precise shot to the right of Harald Van Lancker. Blue Army's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 38th minute, Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harald Van Lancker was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Abel Reijckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivier De Ceijser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Kenn Martens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, FC Kamping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Vrancx to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ramon Vrancx managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kamping's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Vrancx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harald Van Lancker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramon Vrancx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Van Lancker having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Abel Reijckmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vince Van Eyken was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 75 played minutes FC Kamping got a freekick which was hit by Vince Van Eyken. When Olivier De Ceijser came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Blue Army fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olivier De Ceijser couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Olivier De Ceijser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abel Reijckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olivier De Ceijser's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenn Martens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopold Dillemans kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Olivier De Ceijser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Blue Army players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
