Alex Van Geele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander Hoeybroeck in the 4th minute of play. Cederique Koninckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Biesen in the 7th minute of play. RSC Vinkenberg's Sammy Biesen got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hulsters's Cederique Koninckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Biesen in the 11th minute of play. Daevy Koenens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xander Hoeybroeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alex Van Geele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cederique Koninckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Cantillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rafael Cantillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Yoachim Pardaens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Vinkenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hulsters the free kick. A collision led to RSC Vinkenberg getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Yoachim Pardaens hit a great ball. Jaspar Robijns hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Xander Hoeybroeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hulsters's supporters rose to their feet, but Xander Hoeybroeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Van Geele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hulsters's zone, Rafael Cantillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cederique Koninckx came out of the goal and Rafael Cantillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Biesen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafael Cantillon took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cederique Koninckx. Cederique Koninckx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alex Van Geele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander Hoeybroeck in the 64th minute of the match. Xander Hoeybroeck struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Alex Van Geele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hulsters. Xander Hoeybroeck succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. When Rafael Cantillon came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the RSC Vinkenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Cantillon couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the game, Sammy Biesen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cederique Koninckx. Sammy Biesen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 84th minute, Hulsters's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafael Cantillon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Rafael Cantillon took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Cederique Koninckx to make any attempt to save it. In the 91st minute, Cedric Segers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RSC Vinkenberg's Sammy Biesen got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sammy Biesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. RSC Vinkenberg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
