Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Charles-Louis Audenaert got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Mats Goosens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo De nuijter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Etienne De Witte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomas Van Hoeij. Etienne De Witte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jacky Gyselinx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teo De nuijter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Teo De nuijter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Goosens, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Marcus Ketelers kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Tomas Van Hoeij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles-Louis Audenaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mats Goosens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Squadra Mercator Press was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andries Roels to maneuver through the defense. After 49 minutes Squadra Mercator Press's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tom De Mees who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Koala gang's Tom De Mees to fire away a dangerous shot which Teo De nuijter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Mats Goosens was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Koala gang's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mats Goosens got free with Teo De nuijter in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mats Goosens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Teo De nuijter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter-Jan Declercq hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A collision led to Squadra Mercator Press getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kenny Tuerlinckx hit a great ball. Mats Goosens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Squadra Mercator Press's Andries Roels got a free kick in the 66th minute. Tomas Van Hoeij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles-Louis Audenaert in the 71st minute of the match. With his leg Teo De nuijter managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Koala gang's Mats Goosens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Charles-Louis Audenaert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Van Hoeij read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Paul-Louis Van den Bergh struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Teo De nuijter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Koala gang. Mats Goosens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Teo De nuijter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etienne De Witte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Koala gang players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Squadra Mercator Press.
