Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) RFC Tournai's Marco Nijs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seppe Hairpoel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Van Geertruyen having to interfere. Wilfried Rauvoets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boneffe's Florian Van Geertruyen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Boneffe from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the game, Wilfried Rauvoets recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florian Van Geertruyen. Wilfried Rauvoets showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Marco Nijs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Florian Van Geertruyen came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Nijs slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. The supporters of Boneffe booed when RFC Tournai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seppe Hairpoel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeff Terreur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Remi Van Hamme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jeff Terreur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Van Geertruyen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfried Rauvoets in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Wilfried Rauvoets managed to get in a good position for a shot. RFC Tournai's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Rauvoets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Van Geertruyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeff Terreur made a kick off. In the 55th minute Olliver Wuijts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Van Geertruyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Boneffe's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Rauvoets came free, but Florian Van Geertruyen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Van Geertruyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Nijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jeff Terreur might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remi Van Hamme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeff Terreur ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, RFC Tournai's goalkeeper Remi Van Hamme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurend Kockaerts. If Laurend Kockaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Boneffe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Florian Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Rauvoets in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Jeff Terreur fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Remi Van Hamme, passed just outside the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Boneffe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RFC Tournai.
