The audience was convinced that Ronald Roukeloes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remco Hosselaer was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 21 played minutes Royal Union Auderghem got a freekick which was hit by Amaury Horemans. In the 25th minute, Ronald Roukeloes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 28 minutes into the match, Royal Union Auderghem's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Roukeloes came free, but Remco Hosselaer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Royal Union Auderghem's goalkeeper Remco Hosselaer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Vandommele. Ronald Roukeloes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Remco Hosselaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC The Losers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Roukeloes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remco Hosselaer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Roukeloes in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Royal Union Auderghem booed when FC The Losers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyllen Stuycken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronald Roukeloes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Billy Vandommele in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remco Hosselaer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dimitry Cox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobus Schoenmaekers, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Bavo Van Hoght had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobus Schoenmaekers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Roukeloes struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Remco Hosselaer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC The Losers.
