That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. 17 minutes into the match, Wontergem's Bjorn Himschoot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remi Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remi Van Geertruyen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjorn Himschoot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remi Van Geertruyen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommi Leyman went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bernard Goffeyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Remi Van Geertruyen made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernard Goffeyn got free with Remi Van Geertruyen in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bjorn Himschoot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remi Van Geertruyen having to interfere. Remi Van Geertruyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Himschoot, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bjorn Himschoot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remi Van Geertruyen having to interfere. Bjorn Himschoot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remi Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Goffeyn in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Bjorn Himschoot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernard Goffeyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Remi Van Geertruyen made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 54th minute Wontergem were awarded a corner. Balthazar Portmans went to the cornerflag to take it. Balthazar Portmans made a great header on Wontergem's corner, it was just that club atletic belgrano cba's Remi Van Geertruyen managed to reach the ball for a save. Remi Van Geertruyen came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Wontergem's Bjorn Himschoot. But to his dismay, Bjorn Himschoot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Bernard Goffeyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Remi Van Geertruyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Wontergem's Bjorn Himschoot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remi Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bjorn Himschoot in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remi Van Geertruyen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bernard Goffeyn came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Wontergem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Goffeyn couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Goffeyn in the 81st minute of play forced club atletic belgrano cba's goalkeeper Remi Van Geertruyen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. club atletic belgrano cba's Remi Van Geertruyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneel Docx in the 83rd minute of play. Remi Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Goffeyn in the 86th minute of play. Wontergem's Bernard Goffeyn got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Goffeyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remi Van Geertruyen having to interfere. Bjorn Himschoot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remi Van Geertruyen having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, one of club atletic belgrano cba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Wontergem. Balthazar Portmans stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Remi Van Geertruyen. 5-0.
