The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of SC Internacional:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club brugge:s goal. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Club brugge. Dries Roose stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yanick Van Steen. 1-0. In the 13th match minute, Club brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dries Roose to maneuver through the defense. Ief Vercalsteren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George De nuijter having to interfere. Yanick Wuets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Yanick Van Steen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanick Wuets's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanick Van Steen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Yanick Wuets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club brugge's supporters rose to their feet, but Yanick Wuets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanick Van Steen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Yanick Wuets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club brugge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Natan Van De Gehuchte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yanick Wuets's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanick Van Steen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natan Van De Gehuchte was the one to do the kick off. Gust Van der Borght fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanick Van Steen having to interfere. Yanick Wuets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natan Van De Gehuchte charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natan Van De Gehuchte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Internacional getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Natan Van De Gehuchte hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Internacional's Natan Van De Gehuchte got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club brugge! The goalkeeper, George De nuijter, was totally fooled by SC Internacional's Glen Isemborgh, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. SC Internacional's Yanick Van Steen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gust Van der Borght in the 70th minute of play. Yanick Van Steen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gust Van der Borght, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SC Internacional getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Thomas-Jan Wijnants hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dries Roose during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dries Roose kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Xavier Van Meensel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Joerie Van haeck's late challenge caught a SC Internacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. SC Internacional's Yanick Van Steen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gust Van der Borght in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Club brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoff Dirckx to maneuver through the defense. Ief Vercalsteren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, George De nuijter skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 90 minutes into the game, Yanick Wuets cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Yanick Van Steen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natan Van De Gehuchte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. George De nuijter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanick Van Steen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanick Wuets, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Club brugge were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Internacional for a fine match.
