Thibau Gijselinx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van der Roost having to interfere. Werner Jooris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thibau Gijselinx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billie Van der Roost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Thibau Gijselinx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van der Roost having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in KV Valkenberg's zone, Pierre-Olivier Degryse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Jooris came out of the goal and Pierre-Olivier Degryse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thibau Gijselinx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van der Roost having to interfere. Werner Jooris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Ruud Helsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Fenix boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Valkenberg the free kick. Ruud Helsen kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Jacques Meys took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Werner Jooris. KV Valkenberg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fernand de Pelsmaker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Sebastian De Keijser made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, KV Valkenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Robin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 58th minute of play forced KV Valkenberg's goalkeeper Werner Jooris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KV Valkenberg booed when De Fenix boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieth Coopmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Adolf De Spiegeleire sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and De Fenix boys's Billie Van der Roost didn't even have to move. If Fernand de Pelsmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when De Fenix boys's Pierre-Olivier Degryse fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Jooris saved KV Valkenberg from getting behind. KV Valkenberg's Werner Jooris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 95th minute of play. De Fenix boys's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
