Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luke Van Den Abeele, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 10th minute, Diederik Van Maestricht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre-Olivier Degryse had several of the AFC Hompre's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Luke Van Den Abeele as he didn't even see the shot coming. Luke Van Den Abeele stood somewhat misplaced when Pierre-Olivier Degryse came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. If Fernand de Pelsmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AFC Hompre's Dreas Gendre got a free kick in the 29th minute. Charly De Wever struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Billie Van der Roost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Hompre. Luke Van Den Abeele was a little too slow when Pierre-Olivier Degryse got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 3-0. Luke Van Den Abeele made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Fernand de Pelsmaker sent off a good shot on target. Luke Van Den Abeele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre-Olivier Degryse made a kick off. Luke Van Den Abeele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to AFC Hompre getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tibo De Messemaecker hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Hompre's zone, Pierre-Olivier Degryse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Van Den Abeele came out of the goal and Pierre-Olivier Degryse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernand de Pelsmaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Luke Van Den Abeele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pierre-Olivier Degryse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Billie Van der Roost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dreas Gendre in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of AFC Hompre booed when De Fenix boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diederik De Ceuster didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Charly De Wever managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Hompre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charly De Wever was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billie Van der Roost was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dreas Gendre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 70 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 73rd minute of play forced AFC Hompre's goalkeeper Luke Van Den Abeele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Van Den Abeele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Mateo Klinkenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Hompre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Fenix boys the free kick. After 75 played minutes AFC Hompre got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Klinkenberg. Kieth Coopmans kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to De Fenix boys getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Augustijn Wautiers hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Fernand de Pelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Fenix boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernand de Pelsmaker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luke Van Den Abeele saved AFC Hompre from getting behind. De Fenix boys's Diederik Van Maestricht was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luke Van Den Abeele in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luke Van Den Abeele saved AFC Hompre from getting behind. In the 98th minute De Fenix boys were awarded a corner. Diederik Van Maestricht went to the cornerflag to take it. AFC Hompre's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
