Sebastian De Keijser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yanick Van Steen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibau Gijselinx in the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Internacional's Ief Vercalsteren got a free kick in the 16th minute. Sebastian De Keijser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanick Van Steen having to interfere. Sebastian De Keijser struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Yanick Van Steen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Valkenberg. If Natan Van De Gehuchte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KV Valkenberg's zone, Ief Vercalsteren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Jooris came out of the goal and Ief Vercalsteren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natan Van De Gehuchte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Jooris having to interfere. In the 42ndth minute of the game Thibau Gijselinx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Internacional's Yanick Van Steen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thibau Gijselinx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanick Van Steen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian De Keijser made a kick off. When Christoff Vits fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Valkenberg's protests and gave Christoff Vits a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes KV Valkenberg got a freekick which was hit by Christoff Vits. After 56 minutes of play, SC Internacional's Ief Vercalsteren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Werner Jooris was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 minutes, Paul Robin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KV Valkenberg and the SC Internacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 70 minutes, Sebastian De Keijser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Valkenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian De Keijser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daevy Uijterhove charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daevy Uijterhove the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daevy Uijterhove kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Glen Isemborgh sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KV Valkenberg's Werner Jooris didn't even have to move. During the 82nd minute of the match Daevy Uijterhove completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Daevy Uijterhove a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of SC Internacional booed when KV Valkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daevy Uijterhove didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natan Van De Gehuchte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Jooris having to interfere. Werner Jooris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ief Vercalsteren in the 95th minute of the match. SC Internacional were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of KV Valkenberg for a fine match.
