In the 6th minute, Nestor Van De Wiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Quillian Mouton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henk Snieders. Quillian Mouton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Fernand Candries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Strijpen's Quillian Mouton got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quillian Mouton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 18th playminute. In the 21st minute, Thibaud Teunis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Lijsens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Eggermont in the 22nd minute of the match. Erik Swiggers struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Matias Lijsens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Eggermont in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Lijsens saved Strijpen from getting behind. After 33 minutes, Thibaud Teunis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strijpen and the Wellen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matias Lijsens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Eggermont in the 35th minute of the match. Strijpen's Matias Lijsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Swiggers in the 40th minute of play. After 55 played minutes, Wellen's Sem Van Buyten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matias Lijsens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wellen reached it. Thibaud Teunis got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th match minute, Strijpen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thibaud Teunis to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quillian Mouton in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henk Snieders saved Wellen from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Strijpen's Julien Vanden Berghe got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Albert Eggermont tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matias Lijsens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 69 played minutes, Wellen's Sylvan Goethuys shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matias Lijsens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Erik Swiggers in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Lijsens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Erik Swiggers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Matias Lijsens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albert Eggermont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Lijsens made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Erik Swiggers sent off a good shot on target. Wellen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
