In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strijpen's goalkeeper Matias Lijsens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Fernand Candries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strijpen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernand Candries was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boris Holemans kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Serge Loos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yvan Rauvoe. V zondereigen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serge Loos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gery De Block took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matias Lijsens. Strijpen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ewout Verbeke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matias Lijsens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Van Eijcken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fernand Candries came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Strijpen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernand Candries couldn't finish the play. The V zondereigen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Strijpen were winning 0-1.

Ewout Verbeke took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matias Lijsens. Matias Lijsens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Fernand Candries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Serge Loos came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Strijpen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serge Loos couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernand Candries got free with Yvan Rauvoe in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Serge Loos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strijpen's supporters rose to their feet, but Serge Loos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yvan Rauvoe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 played minutes Strijpen got a freekick which was hit by Koen Severyns. Strijpen's Matias Lijsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Holemans in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes in the game, Serge Loos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yvan Rauvoe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Strijpen's Fernand Candries got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Strijpen's Fernand Candries was, in the 82nd minute, rewarded a free kick which he blasted straight towards the goal. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. Matias Lijsens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Van Eijcken, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Strijpen's Matias Lijsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Van Eijcken in the 88th minute of play.
