Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stephen Van Eijcken made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of V zondereigen booed when Wolvertem-Merchtem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andries Lingier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Bjorn Franckx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jannes Meulemans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matias Van den Maegdenbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Rauvoe having to interfere. Wolvertem-Merchtem's Jannes Meulemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Holemans in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Ewout Verbeke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannes Meulemans. Wolvertem-Merchtem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ewout Verbeke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th minute Nicolas Kerstens collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Wolvertem-Merchtem's Rob Maerschalks was substituted for Nicolas Kerstens. In the 18th minute, Kenn Severyns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannes Meulemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Van Eijcken in the 22nd minute of the match. Andries Lingier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Teo Coekelbergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andries Lingier succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 27th playminute. Teo Coekelbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Rauvoe having to interfere. After some careless play in the V zondereigen defense, Teo Coekelbergh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yvan Rauvoe. The V zondereigen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yvan Rauvoe should have stopped the shot. In the 44th match minute, Wolvertem-Merchtem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Van den Maegdenbergh to maneuver through the defense. Rob Maerschalks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Rauvoe having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Coekelbergh to make the kick off. Bjorn Franckx charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bjorn Franckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 53 minutes into the game, one of V zondereigen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tuur Van Havent took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yvan Rauvoe. V zondereigen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yvan Rauvoe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Coekelbergh's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in V zondereigen's zone, Andries Lingier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yvan Rauvoe came out of the goal and Andries Lingier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to V zondereigen getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gery De Block hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teo Coekelbergh in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yvan Rauvoe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in V zondereigen's zone, Andries Lingier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yvan Rauvoe came out of the goal and Andries Lingier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Teo Coekelbergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, V zondereigen's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Coekelbergh came free, but Yvan Rauvoe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Van Caubergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yvan Rauvoe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stephen Van Eijcken in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jannes Meulemans saved Wolvertem-Merchtem from getting behind. In the 90th minute Teo Coekelbergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Rauvoe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas-Jan De Mulder kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in V zondereigen's zone, Andries Lingier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yvan Rauvoe came out of the goal and Andries Lingier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
