Spectators: 7553 (Terracing: 5666, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) vk valaarhof's Angelo Jamieson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Jamieson scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilliam Jannis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michael Boffin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Lijsens having to make a save. The supporters of Quintessence booed when vk valaarhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris-George Martens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, vk valaarhof's Florian Huijgens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilliam Jannis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 15 minutes, Gustaaf Van Daelen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quintessence and the vk valaarhof players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Quintessence's Gustaaf Van Daelen got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Quintessence's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Jamieson came free, but Gilliam Jannis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Huijgens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, Arthur Claevers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Lijsens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gilliam Jannis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Jamieson's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When Arthur Claevers came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Quintessence fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Claevers couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in vk valaarhof's zone, Arthur Claevers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Lijsens came out of the goal and Arthur Claevers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Jamieson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilliam Jannis having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Arthur Claevers made the kick off in the second half. Gilliam Jannis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Jamieson in the 57th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, vk valaarhof's Gilliam Jannis threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angelo Jamieson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 62 minutes into the match, Quintessence's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Jamieson came free, but Gilliam Jannis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Michael Boffin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Lijsens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Lijsens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Van Daelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. vk valaarhof's Gilbert De Kelper quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Karel Cappelsmans, made in the 66th minute of the game. Gilbert De Kelper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter-Jan Scheerens struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gilliam Jannis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for vk valaarhof. Gilliam Jannis came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by vk valaarhof's Florian Huijgens. But to his dismay, Florian Huijgens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Jamieson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilliam Jannis saved Quintessence from getting behind. Alfred Lijsens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Boffin in the 80th minute of play. Quintessence's Gilliam Jannis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Jamieson in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of vk valaarhof booed when Quintessence was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Claevers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilliam Jannis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Jamieson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Huijgens in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilliam Jannis saved Quintessence from getting behind. In the 87thth minute of the game Angelo Jamieson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quintessence's Gilliam Jannis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Florian Huijgens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When vk valaarhof's Angelo Jamieson in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quintessence's goalie prevented a goal. Alfred Lijsens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Boffin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as vk valaarhof's Angelo Jamieson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilliam Jannis. That made the score 1-6 after 95 minutes of play. The Quintessence fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. vk valaarhof were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
