Spectators: 7278 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joannes Humblets made the kick off which started today's match. Charly Rix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Degraef having to make a save. In the 10th minute Dimitri Dirickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Van Hallebeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias-Alexander Van De Velden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Dimitri Dirickx managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Papenbroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitri Dirickx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Van Hallebeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kim Van Hallebeeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Dirickx in the 22nd minute of play. Kevin Degraef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joannes Humblets, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joannes Humblets in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Degraef saved SK Papenbroek from getting behind. If Mathias-Alexander Van De Velden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kim Van Hallebeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitri Dirickx in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dimitri Dirickx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Van Hallebeeck was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. SK Papenbroek's Dimitri Dirickx got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Upigny's Joannes Humblets got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Upigny's zone, Remco Van Haght stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kim Van Hallebeeck came out of the goal and Remco Van Haght tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SK Papenbroek's Kevin Degraef got control of the ball when Mathias-Alexander Van De Velden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raf Van Achter charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raf Van Achter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Raf Van Achter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the game, Mattias Coenens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Papenbroek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Upigny the free kick. In the 68th minute, one of SK Papenbroek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SK Papenbroek. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Upigny. Jozef Raemakers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kevin Degraef. 0-1. A collision led to SK Papenbroek getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jarne Van Der Eyde hit a great ball. Mathias-Alexander Van De Velden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Kevin Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joannes Humblets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias-Alexander Van De Velden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Degraef read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Dimitri Dirickx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upigny's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
