Jannes Vissenaekens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yvan Selleslags in the 19th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yvan Selleslags to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Enzo De Cat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East-Flanders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo De Cat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in K. Sint-Truiden V.V.'s zone, Enzo De Cat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannes Vissenaekens came out of the goal and Enzo De Cat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herman Swin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, East-Flanders's Enzo De Cat got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 71 played minutes, K. Sint-Truiden V.V.'s Jordi De Maerschalck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilliam Mattheijs came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in K. Sint-Truiden V.V. reached it. The supporters of East-Flanders booed when K.
